Lucia was born and bred in Sydney and came to Far North Queensland fifteen years ago. Lucia has been a celebrant for many years, presided over hundreds of weddings and many commitment ceremonies for Gay & Lesbian couples.
Over the years, Lucia Ormonde has been guiding individuals to create appropriate gay commitment ceremonies that are greatly diverse, ranging from small and secluded to the more formal, and they are becoming more popular, always remaining a solemn and memorable occasion.
Like many weddings, the service opens with thoughtful, meaning and relevant words of love and commitment, highlighting the couple's union. Lucia draws from her many years as a Celebrant.
Lucia is a spiritual woman and is highly respectful of the diversity of cultures. She has worked with people from various backgrounds and experiences, all of whom have given her the broad vision she now experiences.
Lucia recognises that your ceremony should be unique and special to you, with a venue that is significant to the couple. Whatever your needs, Lucia is happy to assist. Your service may include a candle ceremony, which is always very special, poems, heart felt readings and you can write your own vows if you wish, to give your ceremony a highly personalised touch.
Lucia is based in the picturesque town of Yungaburra (one hour from Cairns) and also has an office in Cairns, servicing Far North Queensland.
